What Adventure Are You On?

My Mom is a pretty interesting lady.  She's in her 50s, but lives as she if she's still in her 20s.  What do I mean by that?  No she doesn't dress young and she doesn't run around trying to look like she's a 20 year old (although she looks great for her age:).  What I mean is that she lives life adventurously.  Imagine all of the different things you want to do in your lifetime.  Some people have a "bucket list" or some just have some "must do" things that they want to accomplish before it's simply too late.  She sent me a text last week to tell me that she was taking a motorcycle riders class.  Now for those who know my Mom, seeing her as a "biker chick" seems to be a far stretch.  However, she passed the class and is now on the hunt for her own bike.  Everyday when she wakes up, she thanks God for the next adventure that the day may bring her and she steps into it with complete faith.  That mentality of hers has certainly rubbed off on me.  Her example has inspired me to do the same.  The day after I received her text, I joined up with a couple of my buddies and decided to have a little adventure of my own.... ZIP LINING!!

Talk about a breath taking experience!  I haven't felt that sort of adrenaline rush in a long time.  But then it got me motivated to keep the adventures rolling so a few days later, I went on a shopping adventure and bought............. A ZEBRA SUIT!

What's life without a little laughter?  The purchase of the Zebra suit was a simple dare by a few friends, but little do they know that at this point in my life, I'm all about enjoying as many moments as possible.  Unfortunately, I endured quite a few times in my life where laughter, smiling, and hope were pretty distant and because I've overcome that area of my life, I can't help but enjoy the life that God has granted to me.  Not to say that I'll live problem-free from here on out, but I do believe that some of the darker times for me have passed and my whole mission now is to live life, one adventure at a time.  I am currently serving overseas and have had the opportunity to jump start my more adventurous side in an awesome way.... Why not go visit a castle or something????!

Why stop at visiting a castle?  Why not just let your hair down for once and rediscover your true, natural self????!

No matter what adventure you decide to embark upon, be inspiring to someone else who may have lost the will to live life adventurously.  We all deal enough with the woes of this world, and we owe it to ourselves to enjoy each moment that we have!
